Volunteer at the 2008 Canada Cup!

Volunteers are the backbone of the Canada Cup. The success of Canada Cup could not be realized without the support of our hundreds of volunteers.  There is a volunteer opportunity for almost everyone with Canada Cup! Volunteers are required in areas such as: Field Crew, Batgirls, Information Booth, Onsite Promotions, Parking, Public Address Announcing, Security, Set-up & Take-down and Scorekeeping.

Please specify on the Canada Cup Volunteer Application Form, which area you would be best suited for. Some volunteer areas fill up more quickly than others so please apply today!

The Canada Cup Host Committee is especially looking for driver volunteers to help with the transportation of teams throughout their stay in Surrey . Class 1,2 or 4 license preferred.

RETURNING VOLUNTEERS:

If you were a volunteer in 2007, please DO NOT complete the form below. A Canada Cup Chairperson will contact you a few months before the tournament and discuss 2008 volunteer opportunities with you. If you were a Canada Cup Batgirl in 2007, please resubmit your application, following the instructions below.

If you were a volunteer prior to 2007, please complete the form below and enter the most recent year and area you previously volunteered in directly in the  ‘Comments’ field.

Would you like to be a Canada Cup Batgirl?

The experience of a lifetime awaits if you fit within the following criteria:

• Must be born in 1994, 1995 or 1996
• Must be a registered member of Softball BC
• Must be available for all team games and practices (from July 12 - 20, 2008)
• Must take instruction well from coaches and be cooperative with teams
• Should expect to carry equipment, assist players with water, be a ‘gopher’ for the team
• Must have transportation organized for all day, evening, and weekend games and practices
• Will be included in Canada Cup Opening Ceremonies & Team Photograph
• Must apply no later than May 1, 2008.
