Canada Cup Special Olympics Playing Rules
The tournament will be conducted under the Official Special Olympics Summer Sports Rules Softball with the following exceptions:
The games shall last no longer than 1 1/2 hours. No new inning will begin after 1 hour 20 minutes.
Should one team be ahead by 15 runs after three (3) innings, 12 runs after four- (4) inning, and 10 runs after five (5) innings the game will be called by the Home Plate Umpire.
All rosters will be final as of the Head Coaches meeting on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. No additional players/coaches may be added after that time.
The first five (5) innings of play will have a five (5) run maximum. The last two (2) innings will be open innings.
Accreditation wristbands will be worn on the glove hand of all players.
