On behalf of the Canada Cup Host Committee we are very pleased to extend you an invitation to attend the Canada Cup International Fastpitch Futures Tournament and the Canada Cup 16 & Under Fastpitch Showcase Tournament at Cloverdale Athletic Park, Sullivan Park and Softball City in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

This is a great opportunity to scout some of the best Under-19 and Under-16 girls fastpitch players in the world. Age restrictions apply, all Futures players must be born in 1990 or later and Showcase players must be born 1992 or later. Witness first hand as these talented young athletes display their talents and compete against other elite level softball teams in international competition.

Each pre-registered coach will receive:

  • Complimentary pass to both the Canada Cup Futures & Showcase Tournaments, as well as the Canada Cup International Women's Fastpitch Tournament.
  • Coaches hospitality area at Cloverdale Athletic Park and Softball City with access to team information packages and on-line team information.
  • Preferred Canada Cup hotel rates.
  • Assistance in arranging sightseeing tours in the lower mainland of British Columbia. Tours could include Whistler and Vancouver Island if requested.

This tournament is run concurrently with the world-renowned Canada Cup International Women's Fastpitch Tournament. This exciting world-class tournament showcases the best in women's fastpitch and features many of the world's top national and club teams. It enters its exciting 16th annual celebration of softball, July 4 - 12 once again at Softball City, Surrey, BC, Canada!

Tournament World Junior Women's:

  • The first Canada Cup International Fastpitch Futures Tournament (World Junior Women's) took place at the beautiful Cloverdale Athletic Park (part of Surrey 's "City of Parks ") and Softball City . Thirty-five elite level teams from across Canada , the USA and Australia took part in the highly successful inaugural event.
  • The 7th Canada Cup International Fastpitch Futures Tournament (World Junior Women's) was a great success as teams displayed spectacular skills and a very tight race to the Championship final. Surrey Storm took the Futures Championship title in a 3-1 win over Chinese Taipei Youth, in which both teams demonstrated their determination to win this hard-fought battle.

About The Canada Cup 16 & Under Fastpitch Showcase Tournament:

  • The first Canada Cup 16 & Under Fastpitch Showcase Tournament took place in 2005 at the beautiful Cloverdale Athletic Park (part of Surrey 's "City of Parks ") and Softball City. The inaugural tournament was 5 days of intense, surprising and highly competitive softball. What an experience it was for all the teams and athletes that took part!
  • The 4th Canada Cup 16 & Under Fastpitch Showcase Tournament was comprised of many elite level teams who displayed exceptional talent as they fought to make it to the final Championship game. The Brantford Bobcats took home the Championship trophy, as they defeated the Victoria Devils 5-1 in the final game.

Surrey, British Columbia, Canada:

The City of Surrey, called the "City of Parks", is located on the West Coast of British Columbia approximately a forty-five minute drive from Vancouver, B.C. and borders Surrey, B.C./Washington State at the Peace Arch Crossing.

The Futures & Showcase Tournaments will be played at the Cloverdale Athletic Park and Sullivan Park, (approximately 20 minutes) and Softball City (approximately 15 minutes) from the B.C./Washington State border.

Softball City is one of North America's top softball facilities, nestled in a lush urban forest on the beautiful Semi-ah-moo Peninsula. A championship diamond with reserved seating and three more international standard playing fields all feature sifted crushed brick infields, finely groomed grass outfields and state of the art lighting quality. Softball City is crowned with a 125 seat indoor bar and grill, fully licensed with an outdoor raised patio deck.

During the nine day event the site will be buzzing with the activity created by the excitement of the international teams and visitors. The Canada Cup Host Committee, along with the 400-500 community volunteers and corporate partners, as well as a variety of food concessions, souvenirs and a variety of products and services will make this a great event in the history of women's fastpitch.
