World Junior Women's MAJOR RECRUITING OPPORTUNITY! Dear University/College Coach: On behalf of the Canada Cup Host Committee we are very pleased to extend you an invitation to attend the Canada Cup International Fastpitch Futures Tournament and the Canada Cup 16 & Under Fastpitch Showcase Tournament at Cloverdale Athletic Park, Sullivan Park and Softball City in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. This is a great opportunity to scout some of the best Under-19 and Under-16 girls fastpitch players in the world. Age restrictions apply, all Futures players must be born in 1989 or later and Showcase players must be born 1991 or later. This exciting world-class tournament showcases the best in women's fastpitch and features many of the world's top national and club teams. About The 2008 Canada Cup:
Surrey, British Columbia, Canada: The City of Surrey, called the "City of Parks", is located on the West Coast of British Columbia approximately a forty-five minute drive from Vancouver, B.C. and borders Surrey, B.C./Washington State at the Peace Arch Crossing. The Futures & Showcase Tournaments will be played at the Cloverdale Athletic Park and Sullivan Park, (approximately 20 minutes) and Softball City (approximately 15 minutes) from the B.C./Washington State border. Click here for a map of the area. Softball City is one of North America's top softball facilities, nestled in a lush urban forest on the beautiful Semi-ah-moo Peninsula. A championship diamond with reserved seating and three more international standard playing fields all feature sifted crushed brick infields, finely groomed grass outfields and state of the art lighting quality. Softball City is crowned with a 125 seat indoor bar and grill, fully licensed with an outdoor raised patio deck. During the nine day event the site will be buzzing with the activity created by the excitement of the international teams and visitors. The Canada Cup Host Committee, along with the 400-500 community volunteers and corporate partners, as well as a variety of food concessions, souvenirs and a variety of products and services will make this a great event in the history of women's fastpitch.
