Softball BC Announces Award Winners


Softball BC has announced the 2016 Softball BC Award Winners and we would like to congratulate all of the very deserving recipients, including our very own Greg Timm, Dave Harris, and Rusty Cale.

 

Greg Timm - President of the Canadian Open Fastpitch Society and Chairman of the SURREY 2016 Women's World Softball Championship - is being presented with the inaugural Softball BC President's Award. This award recognizes outstanding service to the sport of softball and to the promotion and development of softball.

Dave Harris - Vice-President of the Canadian Open Fastpitch Society and Vice-Chair of the SURREY 2016 Women's World Softball Championship - is being awarded Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. This award recognizes a member that donates countless hours to the softball community and always has the best interests of the athletes, coaches, umpires, parents, and the organization at the forefront.

Rusty Cale - Canadian Open Fastpitch Deputy Umpire-in-Chief - is being present the Minor Umpire Service Award. This award recognizes outstanding contributions by members within Softball BC who have excelled in service to the Minor communities of our game.

Thank you for the time, energy, and enthusiasm all of you devote to encouraging young women to participate in the sport of softball, and developing softball within our community. We are so proud of your accomplishments and grateful for your dedication!

 

Award winners will be honoured during Softball BC's Awards Banquet, being held October 22nd at the Marriott Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond. Tickets can be purchased through Softball BC at 604-371-0302 or a ticket order form can be found online.
